It’s unknown where Ben Simmons will land in the 2016 NBA Draft — OK, we have a pretty good idea — but the LSU star has finally decided on a sneaker company to call home.
Simmons, the presumptive top pick in June 23’s draft, has officially signed an endorsement deal with Nike. Terms of the deal were not announced, but it has been reported that it’s one of the largest contracts to which Nike has ever signed a rookie.
Simmons had narrowed his footwear suitors down to just Nike and Adidas, and in fact it’s thought that the latter was offering more money, but that the 6-foot-10-inch Australian always preferred the Swoosh. Stay tuned for developments. . . .
