Nike continues adding to its roster of superstar soon-to-be NFL rookies ahead of the 2016 draft. After signing quarterbacks Jared Goff and Paxton Lynch and defensive lineman DeForest Buckner, each considered among the top players at their position in this year’s draft, Nike has now inked Ezekiel Elliott, Laremy Tunsil, Will Fuller and Carson Wentz to deals.
In Elliott, late of Ohio State University, and Tunsil, who played at Ole Miss, Nike has signed the consensus top players at their positions in this draft; running back and offensive tackle, respectively. Elliott led his team to a national championship following the 2014 season, and Tunsil allowed two sacks in his three-year career as a Rebel. Two.
Wentz, a 2014 and 2015 team captain and North Dakota State University is universally considered, with Goff, one of the top two QBs coming out this year. He is very much in play to be the number one overall pick in the draft.
Finally, Fuller was seen as one of the most dynamic and talented receivers in the country while at Notre Dame last year. His 4.32-second 40-yard dash was the best among all WRs in the 2016 draft, meaning Al Davis will likely rise from the dead, have the Raiders trade for the first overall pick, and select Fuller.
Stay tuned to Nikeblog for plenty more signings as the NFL Draft, which begins on April 28, approaches.
