When the Nike SB Eric Koston 2 Spiked, a golf edition of superstar skateboarder Koston’s pro model, premiered back in 2013, it had one big caveat: it wasn’t releasing. Finally, more than three years later, that’s changing.
The Nike SB Eric Koston 2 Spiked Challenge Red is hitting select retailers this week, offering golfers a decidedly different look for the links. The familiar silhouette and paneling of the standard Koston 2 are on display, but here they’re executed in scaly synthetic leather for a dressier, club-appropriate look and protection from the weather.
Moving down the shoe, a Lunarlon midsole offers plush cushioning for that long day walking 18 (or 9, or 36) holes, and superlative traction and stability comes courtesy of Scorpion Stinger Tri-Lok spikes.
Head for select retailers including Nike.com now to pick up the Nike SB Eric Koston 2 Spiked, retailing for $100. At the moment, there’s no sign of any other colorways on the horizon, but stay tuned just in case.
