Kyrie Irving’s a masterful distributor, but it’s his prolific scoring that’s celebrated on the latest colorway of the Kyrie 1.
Last January, Irving dropped fifty-five points against the Portland Trailblazers, then a career high for the Cavs points guard. The Nike Kyrie 1 Double Nickel commemorates that night, adding silver and red accents to a white mesh upper, and nickel-like emblems to either tongue. On each heel, Irving’s usual “2” graphics are creatively inverted, yielding — when placed together — two 5s.
The Nike Kyrie 1 Double Nickel hit Chinese Nike Basketball accounts earlier this week, though it’s as yet unclear if it’ll hit stateside stores. Stay tuned.
