Long before the first golfers of the day hit the links, before they’ve even taken their practice swings, greenskeepers the world over are at work preparing the course for another day of work and play. All manner of enemies threaten their labor, from the broken sprinkler line to the unruly weed and, in your more exotic locations, even the occasional alligator. With the Nike Golf Enemies of the Course pack, the Swoosh celebrates the greenskeepers and maintenence people you can’t live without.
Nike worked with artist Michelle Morin for the project, tasking her with creating a custom print that would combine street-style influences with on-course inspiration, all while seamlessly fitting onto links-ready pieces. The resulting pattern incorporates more than fifteen plants and animals that can be the bane of greenkeepers’ existences, ranging from snakes and geese to dandelions and one-leaf clovers and, yes, those aforementioned gators.
That pattern is then incorporated into a number of pieces in the new line, which boasts gear like the raglan polo, fleece cardigan, coaches jacket, selvedge pant and short, and even a couple of hats.
