The Nike Free RN Motion Flyknit launches in the months ahead, the next evolution in Nike Free technology based on the latest in physiological science.
The shoe features a sleek Flyknit construction finishing in a sock-like collar, a build that yields a second-skin-like fit, but it’s the wholly redesigned Free sole that’s the real game-changer. Based on new studies that illustrate just how much the foot expands and contracts between impact and liftoff — about one size in length and up to two in width — the Nike Free RN Motion Flyknit employs a new “auxetic” midsole that splays upon impact.
The geometric tri-star lugs spread as would a bare foot, working symbiotically with the Flyknit that actually stretches under the foot — replacing the traditional midsole-upper connector — for one of the most natural rides in Nike Running history.
No word yet on a Nike RN Motion Flyknit release date, so keep it locked to NB for developments.
