Flyknit has gained legions of fans over the years, devotees of the technology’s seamless woven construction that delivers lightweight, natural-moving yet supportive shoes. Now, Flyknit has eyes on its next frontier: golf.
The Nike Flyknit Chukka Golf Shoe sports the Free Flyknit Chukka upper that we all know and love — the midtop upper, the all-Flyknit composition — but adds Hyperfuse overlays similar to those seen on the Free Flyknit Chukka Sneakerboot. Presumably, that indicates that these have the same weather-protection as those Sneakerboots, promising you can hit the links all year-round.
Most importantly, of course, is that sole. Rather than your standard Free, the Nike Flynit Chukka Golf Shoe employs Nike Golf’s signature FI unit, a Free-inspired spikeless golf sole that evenly distributes force and impact, while keeping the wearer grounded throughout the swing.
Originally said to be launching in March, the Nike Flyknit Chukka Golf Shoe surfaced over on Golfsmith.com this week. Get to stepping if you want an early pair; $230 a pop.
