As we reported earlier this month, the Nike Air Zoom Talaria is coming back to shelves! Originally debuted back in 1995, the Talaria immediately garnered lasting acclaim. Even now, two decades later, it’s one of Nike’s most beloved running shoes of all-time. And today we get an official look at the 2016 edition.
The upcoming reissue, launching under the NikeLab umbrella, remains largely faithful to the original, but a few small updates will grace the shoe as well. The signature suede overlays and breathable mesh on the Nike Air Zoom Talaria upper are retained, along with that instantly-recognizable outsole. But modern materials are incorporated into the midsole and sockliner, offering innovative comfort without affecting the classic aesthetics.
In addition to the original neon-and-white edition, two new Nike Air Zoom Talaria colorways will launch as well, boasting remixed materials like a ripstop nylon base and woven overlays. Each is still instantly familiar, unequivocally “Talaria,” yet sleekly contemporary.
The Nike Air Zoom Talaria releases in all three colorways on March 31 at NikeLab destinations worldwide, including Nike.com/NikeLab.
