Non-UK-based fans of the Air Max 93 have had a tough go of it the last year or so, watching colorway after colorway of the beloved, if a bit esoteric, running model release at retail store Size and nowhere else. Well, look for that to change in the coming months; it appears we’re about to be treated to a full dose of Nike Air Max 93 OG colorways.
As far as newsworthy 1993 events go, the debut of the unique running model probably fits somewhere in between China breaking its moratorium on nuclear testing and the Branch Davidians’ standoff with federal troops . . . maybe higher. However you rank the original, the 2014 editions remain rather faithful to those 21-year-old cult classics, each sporting white synthetic leather uppers, bootie-style collars, and black-and-mint (“Menthol”) or blue-and-orange (“Citrus”) accents.
We’re still short official release confirmation, but it sounds like July or August could well see both these colorways back on shelves at retailers like Crooked Tongues, hopefully followed by plenty more colorways. Can’t wait?
