One of Nike’s classic running shoes, in its most iconic colorway, comes to the links. Behold — official photos of the Nike Air Max 90 Golf Infrared.
Sure, the AM90 was reinvented for golf earlier this spring, but this is the colorway every sneakerhead worth his corgi club-cover has been waiting for. Colorfully, it’s practically a dead ringer for the original 1990 colorway, with a sea of white offset by grey on the upper, while a black mudguard and red accents offer contrast.
But here those colors coalesce on an innovative, refined upper, made entirely seamless for peak weather-resistance. Below, Max Air is actually forgone in favor of Zoom, and the icy outsole manifests in Nike’s Integrated Traction system, a spikeless golf-specific design.
There’s no word yet on a US release date, but the Nike Air Max 90 Golf Infrared is slated for a July 1 drop in the UK. That could well hold for stateside accounts, too. Stay tuned.
