More looks today at the fast-approaching Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra, an innovative, updated new spin on the classic running shoe.
The original Air Huarache is of course most well-known for its unique design, comprising a neoprene inner-bootie secured with a leather exoskeleton, and then set atop a chunky sole unit.
The forthcoming Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra clearly draws heavily from that design, but delivers a sleeker, more streamlined look. The exoskeleton and bootie have been fused together into a single mesh component for a sock-like fit and drastically reduced weight, while the shoe’s famous heel-clip is tweaked a bit. The piece around the back of the foot is gone entirely, replaced instead with a simple elastic strap.
But you already knew all that. We gave you your first look at the Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra back in June. Today, feast your eyes on two new colorways of the shoe, a couple of pastel-like palettes that are expected on shelves in May 2016.
