Throughout Manchester City’s matches, its sea of adoring fans proudly sing the club’s anthem, “Blue Moon.” Drawing from that passionate tradition, the new Manchester City away kit is inspired the anthem itself.
During away matches, Man City will wear a deep blue shirt that’s imbued with celestial style, most notably on the sleeves. Complementing the solid-navy body, each sleeve is printed with graphics that mimic the lunar surface, executed in tonal blue to keep the bold feature subtle and understated. Those graphics and the navy shirt are then offset by sky blue on the collar, cuffs and underarm stripes, a nod to the club’s iconic color.
The new shorts match up in solid navy, with a sky blue stripe running up each leg to connect with its counterpart on the shirt, and sky blue-cuffed navy socks complete the uniform, never wavering from the colorful motif.
Man City debuted its new away kit today, taking on Real Madrid in Melbourne, Australia, and will wear the “Blue Moon” look in away matches going forward.
