Famed Italian football club Inter Milan will wear a new home kit during the 2015-16 season, a return to the team’s iconic black and blue stripes that celebrates the 25th anniversary of one of its greatest accomplishments.
In the 1990-91 season, Inter Milan won the UEFA Cup, a title that marked their first since the 1960s, and spawned an historic run of success — the team went on to win two more UEFA Cups in the next seven seasons.
This year, Inter Milan will hearken back to the look of that 25-year-old squad, as the new home kit pairs bold black and blue vertical stripes, while the throwback polo-style neck collar is executed in blue and black as well.
A blue stripe on the shirt’s flanks aligns with a matching stripe on the otherwise solid-black shorts, and the new Inter Milan home kit is finished with black socks that are offset by a wide stripe of blue chevrons.
A celebration of historic legacy meets contemporary sartorial sensibilities, the new Inter Milan home kit releases at select global retailers on May 30.
