When Michigan State faced off again Kansas Tuesday night in their second game of the season, the Spartans took the court looking as good as they have in . . . well, about 37 years.
Commemorating the program’s Magic Johnson-led national championship nearly four decades ago, the Spartans rocked throwback uniforms that perfectly mimicked their 1979 look. The crisp, clean white set featured contrast green piping, a belt-like green waistband and oversized Spartan logo on either leg. Most importantly, the jersey was emblazoned with cursive “STATE” script, an homage to MSU’s most iconic look.
