The Converse Jack Purcell Spring 2014 collection gets its official unveiling today and, like just about every Purcell line, it’s fantastic.
While there are no drastic changes to the Purcell silhouette itself, the fashion fixture undergoes a number of material changes and slight sartorial tweaks, each seemingly better than the last. The Converse Jack Purcell Tortoise Jack features perhaps the subtlest update, adding a tortoise shell top eyelet and gum toe-smile and heel-plate to a buttery leather upper, resulting in clean, understated good looks.
Along those same lines, but a bit of a further departure, the Converse Jack Purcell Tortoise Twill dons tortoise shell detailing on each and every eyelet, complementing an upper that pairs soft twill with leather. Gum again appears in the smile and heel-plate, rounding out the crafted, casual style.
Continuing that very crafted aesthetic, the Converse Jack Purcell Post Applied veers more toward “premium” thanks to a timeless gum buttom and leather midsole, beautifully transitioning into the leather upper.
Finally, the Converse Jack Purcell Pocket Square Jack opts for a breezy, summer look thanks to a soft twill upper that’s finished with a clean, classy graphic, inspired by the eponymous blazer addition.
The Converse Jack Purcell Spring 2014 collection launches February 1 at retailers nationwide.
