How do you follow up a legend, a footwear icon that’s ruled for nearly a century? We’re about to find out.
On July 28, Converse is set to debut the Chuck II, a sequel to the beloved Chuck Taylor All Star. All we have to go on so far is a brief teaser, seemingly illustrating a shoe with the same canvas construction and general shape and features, but a revamped lacing system, midsole and branding badge.
The Converse Chuck II is actually the second time the All Star has had a follow up, after the 1970s’ All Star II, but this will assuredly be more lifestyle, less basketball.
Stay tuned for updates as they develop. At least eight colorways are expected to launch that day; four each of the Converse Chuck II Hi and the Chuck II Ox.
