Yesterday we brought you the Galaxy Foamposite release date — it’s set for February 24th, although we briefly misidentified it as the 25th. A quickstrike release, and an extremely limited one, that immediately spawned panic all over as people erratically sent emails asking about where to buy. (Sorry I couldn’t respond to all of them, I did read them though. And all the information I have will be on the site.) Well the news gets better today, as the Air Foamposite One Galaxy will officially hit nikestore.com as well, meaning it will be available on that site the second it hits midnight EST on 2/24, and will likely sell out in mere moments. Stick with NB for further details and, surely, plenty of photos in the near future.

Not much to add here today, simply a reminder that the Nike Air Diamond Turf II release date, in the black/white-metallic gold, is set for tomorrow, February 8th at Nike Sportswear accounts nationwide. The classic shoe, made famous as Deion Sanders’ preferred footwear in the 90′s, sports an even mix of white and black over the midfoot-strap-adorned upper, with an inset gold panel along the side an red inner-lining. Updating one of the most hotly-anticipated stories of early-2012, it appears we now have an almost-official Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy release date. Word today is that the shoe, which sports a wildly multi-colored, space-themed foam upper set atop a glow-in-the-dark outsole, will hit stores on February 24th, the same day as the all-star signature shoes (KD IV, Kobe VII, LeBron 9). The shoe is not listed on Nike’s official release calendar for February, so take this with a grain of salt, but it was expected to be a Quickstrike all along, so an absence from the official schedule doesn’t necessarily mean anything about the Galaxy Foamposite release date. The Huarache Free 2012 has already established itself as one of the great new models of late-2011/early-2012, perfectly blending retro style with modern technology. And apparently it’s only getting better, with the Nike Huarache Free 2012 Black/Turquoise-Magenta perhaps the perfect colorway, adding vibrant, eye-catching tones that fit perfectly with the 90′s style of the model. Nike is finally including the ladies in the Air Max NM goodness with the new WMNS Nike Air Max NM Black/Pink. Ostensibly a counterpoint to the men’s Air Max NM Black/University Gold-White, this one also sports a black nubuck overlay covering most of the upper, but opts for pink just about everywhere else. Spring is always a great time for Nike Sportswear releases, with the weather lending itself to a wide variety of apparel and shoes. And as always, the Spring 2012 line — while still including some newer models — will really focus on the classic silhouettes. Case in point, look for a heavy dose of the Nike Cortez Classic this year, with many of them going for a full-grain leather construction over the iconic model. Nylon editions will also be available, featuring a three-layered style, but today we focus on the leather; hit the jump for plenty of looks at those.

The Nike Air Foamposite One Metallic Red release date is finally here, after months and months of anticipation, scheduled to hit stores tomorrow, February 4th. (Or tonight at midnight depending on if your shop is doing a special release; NikeStore.com will have them at 12a EST.) One of the better new colorways on the Foam One in quite some time, the shoe adds a red Foamposite upper to contrasting black on the tongue, placket and collar, and an icy translucent outsole. Yesterday, we gave you a look at the whole Nike Sportswear Black History Month pack, as well as the first shot of the Zoom KD IV BHM. Today, take a look at the whole set together, the best way I can imagine to compare against one another. Each incorporate this year’s signature multi-colored BHM print in a different way, placing it against black and grey. Well we’ve shown you the Nike Basketball Black History Month pack, featuring fantastic takes on the Nike Zoom KD IV BHM, Nike Zoom Kobe VII BHM and Nike LeBron 9 BHM, and today we can unveil the entire Nike Sportswear Black History Month shoe and apparel collection. The stars will definitely be the shoe, with NSW opting for three of their most iconic silhouettes — the Air Max 1, Air Force 1 and Blazer — as well as one of their newer (but no less great) silhouettes — the Huarache Free 2012. That being said, the apparel certainly isn’t anything to scoff at, with NSW including an absolutely perfect hooded Destroyer jacket, alongside a t-shirt and snapback hat. As one of Nike Sportswear’s mainstays, we’ve seen the Air Max 90 adopt a number of variations to its original style, including Current and Vac-Tech versions. Next up, it looks like the iconic runner will don canvas for a couple of colorways. The Nike Air Max 90 Canvas will hit in both a black and a blue version, each featuring the titular textile over the entire upper with contrasting tones on the Swoosh, outsole and plastic rubber piecing, and a white midsole. We debuted the Nike Dunk High All-Star 2012 pack yesterday, a very different, yet very cool, set of Dunk Premiums that will release as part of the NBA-in-Orlando All-Star Week theme. As such, these ones borrow inspiration from the nearby Kennedy Space Center, featuring canvas uppers inspired by astronauts’ flight suits, star-spangled inner-linings, and a reflective 3M lace placket. Even better, all three colorways — rogue green, blue grey and flight gold — feature removable, Velcro-attached Swooshes and NASA-inspired tongue tags. 2012 marks the 30th anniversary of a basketball — and more so streetwear — icon: the Nike Air Force 1. While Nike Sportswear likely has some real heat planned to mark the occasion, we haven’t seen any anniversary-celebrating pairs yet besides the Year of the Dragon edition. The NBA All-Star Game is a big deal each year anyway, being arguably the best of the major North American all-star games, but the fact that Nike regularly schedules some fantastic releases to coincide with the week-long lead-up certainly doesn’t hurt either. And this year is sure to be an especially strong set of releases, with absurdly cool Dunk Highs, space-themed signature shoes (KD IV and Kobe VII and LeBron 9) and now a neo-classic hoops model in a great colorway, which just happens to be that of the host team’s uniforms. That shoe is the Nike Air Flight One Orlando, release date expected for mid-February, and sports the Magic’s white, blue and black colors, fitting in that it’s a shoe Penny Hardaway made famous early in his career. Two of Nike’s most iconic concepts meet on February 1st, with the Air Force 1 iD getting elephant print customization options beginning that day. NIKEiD.com will be limited to only 750 pairs, beginning at midnight on the 1st, which will likely be exhausted within minutes. However brick-and-mortar NIKEiD studios, such as at the newly opened Nike Portland store, will feature the elephant options throughout February. As we typically see each year, Nike is creating several shoes inspired by the upcoming NBA All-Star game. And with the 2012 game in Orlando, it seems only natural that some shoes would borrow inspiration from the nearby Kennedy Space Center. But while we’ve seen the All-Star Kobe VII and LeBron 9 go for a full-on “space” look, the Nike Dunk High All-Star 2012 pack keeps its inspiration on earth, featuring aesthetics inspired by NASA itself. All three colorways go for canvas uppers featuring graphics and type “borrowed” from NASA gear and facilities, going so far as to incorporate a removable, Velcro-adhered Swoosh and NASA-style logo tag.
