With an idea as inspired and filled with potential as a Street Fighter 2 collection, why limit it to just one model of shoe? Thankfully Nike SB thought the same thing, and the SFII pack, already known to feature a Chun Li Dunk Low and a Ryu Dunk Mid, will also include a Nike SB P-Rod 4 Akuma edition, although the colors of the shoe seems to be inspired more by Akuma’s powered-up self, Shin Akuma. The shoe will feature a blue upper with black on the midsole, laces and Swoosh and, just like Akuma himself, a Kanji “ten” character on its back. And the other High School PE set for release on September 11th: the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Lower Merion.” The shoe features a colorway designed for Lower Merion, Kobe Bryant’s alma mater, including a white upper, slight maroon accents and “Ace” across the back, the nickname of the school’s athletic teams. A couple of Nike High School PE’s will arrive at House of Hoops locations this weekend, releasing September 11th (ZKV “Lower Merion” being the other). First up, the Nike Zoom Soldier IV “Christ the King,” a colorway of LeBron’s secondary-sig designed for NYC-area hoops powerhouse Christ the King Regional High School. While obviously LBJ isn’t from New York and didn’t attend CTK, he’s supported this high school with special edition PE’s for a couple of years.

Quick release reminder, as the Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11 release date is set for tomorrow, September 4th at retailers nationwide. The shoe, hitting tomorrow in two colorways, white/varsity red and white/varsity blue, is a hybrid of the Air Jordan 11 and Air Max 1, taking from the former the mesh upper and leather mudguards, while incorporating the general silhouette and sole unit from the AM1. And one last item for tomorrow, the Air Jordan 9 Charcoal release date. The classic AJ9, releasing in this colorway for the first time since it’s original circulation, will be in stores for $150. The shoe features a great mix of charcoal on the rand with black suede through the upper and varsity red on the accents and the inner-lining. Look for these to go really quickly.

For fans of Kobe Bryant, Duke, Rice High School or just nice looking shoes, tomorrow is your day. The Nike Zoom Kobe V “Team Blue” (Duke-inspired color) and Zoom Kobe V Rice PE release dates are set for tomorrow, September 4th at House of Hoops stores. Rice is a New York-area high school and basketball juggernaut that typically gets PE’s in Kobe’s signature shoes, while Duke is just … Duke. Check out more looks under the cut.

In the same vein as the successful and surprisingly neck-breaking “workboot” Air Force 1, the new Nike Air Force 1 “Hiking” pack features two AF1’s that incorporate metal laceholes, boot-style laces and monochromatic uppers with perforated Swooshes. Coming in grey/white and black/white, the Air Force 1 Hiking pack is now available for pre-order from crookedtongues.com, with an expected ship date of October. Quick release reminder, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pearl release date is set for tomorrow, September 3rd. The shoe will run $200 and will sell out in a heartbeat, and it will also be available online at midnight tonight. Foot Locker has been taking pre-orders for a week or two but I’m not sure if they also held some pairs to just release to the website without being reserved, so get there and to nikestore.com at midnight on the dot if that’s your strategy.

Not scheduled to hit stores until September 11th, the Nike Air Force 1 Gorge Green is already turning up on shelves such as at extrabutterny. The shoe follows the design trend of several other similar AF1’s lately, combining patent leather on the Swoosh, toebox and toecap with perforated nubuck on the rest of the upper and a white midsole. On this particular shoe, the upper and outsole are green while there’s a little red on the tongue tag. Check out a couple more look under the cut.

We shared a preview of the upcoming System of Dress Nike Pro Combat uniforms earlier today, and the reaction has been pretty overwhelming thus far. In fact if you keep getting 404 error messages or fatal errors, it’s because we’re getting a big influx of traffic and the host has yet to catch up with it. Bear with us though, it’s improving as we speak. But back to the topic at hand, Pro Combat. Matching up with the uniforms seen earlier today, Nike put together the Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer “Pro Combat” Collection, a special edition shoe that fits perfectly with each school’s special edition look. No word on whether these will release or if they’re just staying within the programs, but we can only hope the former. Check out all pairs under the cut.
