While the shoe, with its two interchangeable booties and three interchangeable midsoles, has a total of six configurations, the standard releases will come with one bootie and one midsole and retail for $180. (The Deluxe edition comes with all five pieces and retails for $223.) Continuing our look ahead to the March Nike SB footwear releases (next month’s Team Edition 2 here, here’s a first glimpse at the Nike SB Blazer Elite Classic Charcoal/White. Sporting a premium, full-grain leather upper covered in near-black, the shoe features a tonal suede Swoosh and metal eyelets, all sitting atop a white midsole. Yesterday we brought you the Galaxy Foamposite release date — it’s set for February 24th, although we briefly misidentified it as the 25th. A quickstrike release, and an extremely limited one, that immediately spawned panic all over as people erratically sent emails asking about where to buy. (Sorry I couldn’t respond to all of them, I did read them though. And all the information I have will be on the site.) Well the news gets better today, as the Air Foamposite One Galaxy will officially hit nikestore.com as well, meaning it will be available on that site the second it hits midnight EST on 2/24, and will likely sell out in mere moments. Stick with NB for further details and, surely, plenty of photos in the near future.

And finally, closing out one of the most chalk-full-of-releases Wednesdays in recent memory (Air Diamond Turf II here, Total Griffey Max 99 here), here’s a look at the Air Jordan 2012 University Blue/White-Dark Steel Grey and Air Jordan 2012 Wolf Grey/Black-Silver Ice-White, release date also scheduled for tomorrow, February 8th. Today marked the official unveiling of the Air Jordan 2012. (Release date for which is set for February 25th, with a couple Deluxe versions, Wolf Grey and University Blue, hitting retailers tomorrow.) A shoe which takes performance customization to an unprecedented new level, the Air Jordan 2012 was four years in the making, and borrows design inspiration from everything from Michael Jordan’s legacy to the zoot suit.

According to Tinker Hatfield, this shoe is Jordan Brand’s response to the increasing demand for customizable hoops models, hence the two interchangeable booties — a highcut for more ankle support and a lowcut for quicker players who need more ankle movement — and three interchangeable midsoles: ‘Fly Around,’ which features a Zoom Air unit in the heel for light, responsive cushioning; ‘Fly Over,’ which has Zoom in the forefoot and an encapsulated Air Sole unit in the heel, blending responsiveness with impact protection; and ‘Fly Through,’ which goes for a full-length encapsulated Air Sole unit for maximum impact protection.

All said, the combination of midsoles and booties give the wearer six possible configurations, and the Air Jordan 2012 Deluxe, release date set for February 8th, includes all of those elements.

However, the technology that goes into the shoe itself is perhaps just as impressive. Flywire technology offers plenty of stability and support without adding weight, and the ‘Flight Carbon’ plate in the midsole is a first; made with glass and carbon fiber and contoured to the natural shape of the foot.

And of course looks weren’t ignored, as the Air Jordan 2012 again sports a premium construction. The Flywire-based upper sits beneath full-grain leather overlays, giving the appearance of finely-crafted footwear.

In addition to the Air Jordan 2012 Deluxe hitting stores tomorrow, complete with all midsoles and booties, and the standard Air Jordan 2012 release date of February 25th, the Air Jordan 2012 will hit NIKEiD.com on February 14th, selling for $205. Myriad colors will be available, and of course the customer can pick their ride, in terms of midsoles and booties.

The last couple of years, Nike SB has had some really hot releases that just happened to coincide with the 20th day of April, namely Todd Bratrud’s Cheech and Chong of last year and Skunk of the year before. So while there’s a high standard set already, this year’s shoe seems up to the challenge. While it won’t carry the name recognition of those Dunks, nor the iconic status of that particular model, the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Bonsai (or “420″) features a look absolutely beautiful in its subtlety. The shoe sports an off-white suede upper, contrasted by green piping, Swoosh and laces, and sitting atop a gum midsole, just a perfect spring look and an easy fit for just about anyone. And finally, after months of lead-up, here’s the Nike Zoom Kobe VII All-Star release date, set for February 24th along with the Nike Zoom KD IV All-Star and LeBron 9 All-Star release dates. Like those shoes, this one sports a space-inspired upper, tying in with the 2012 NBA All-Star Game’s location in Orlando. Its multicolored upper is set off with black and grey accents around the edges, completing an entirely unique and definitely eye-catching look. Updating one of the most hotly-anticipated stories of early-2012, it appears we now have an almost-official Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy release date. Word today is that the shoe, which sports a wildly multi-colored, space-themed foam upper set atop a glow-in-the-dark outsole, will hit stores on February 24th, the same day as the all-star signature shoes (KD IV, Kobe VII, LeBron 9). The shoe is not listed on Nike’s official release calendar for February, so take this with a grain of salt, but it was expected to be a Quickstrike all along, so an absence from the official schedule doesn’t necessarily mean anything about the Galaxy Foamposite release date. One of the cooler, more unique looks for early-2012, we finally have a Nike Zoom KD IV All-Star release date, with the shoe set to hit stores on February 24th, two days before Kevin Durant will don it in the 2012 NBA All-Star Game. Carrying on the “space” theme seen throughout the All-Star releases — inspired by host city Orlando and the nearby Kennedy Space Center — the shoe goes for a metallic silver upper, sitting atop a black-with-stars midsole.
