Continuing our look ahead to the March Nike SB footwear releases (next month’s Team Edition 2 here, here’s a first glimpse at the Nike SB Blazer Elite Classic Charcoal/White. Sporting a premium, full-grain leather upper covered in near-black, the shoe features a tonal suede Swoosh and metal eyelets, all sitting atop a white midsole. The last couple of years, Nike SB has had some really hot releases that just happened to coincide with the 20th day of April, namely Todd Bratrud’s Cheech and Chong of last year and Skunk of the year before. So while there’s a high standard set already, this year’s shoe seems up to the challenge. While it won’t carry the name recognition of those Dunks, nor the iconic status of that particular model, the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Bonsai (or “420″) features a look absolutely beautiful in its subtlety. The shoe sports an off-white suede upper, contrasted by green piping, Swoosh and laces, and sitting atop a gum midsole, just a perfect spring look and an easy fit for just about anyone. February is now officially upon us, which means a couple of things. First, those shoes we previewed last month (here, here and here, for example) are now hitting stores. And second, we can start looking ahead to the March Nike SB footwear releases. First up, check out the Nike SB Team Edition 2 Deep Ocean/Clay, a great take on the simplistic silhouette that features navy suede over the upper, a bit of tonal canvas at the collar, and contrast taupe (or “clay”) on the liner and tongue-tag. The strapless Dunk Mid Pro SB is on its way out, ushering back in an ankle-strapped Dunk Mid era this summer, and it looks like a classic colorway will help see off the incumbent fashion. The Nike SB Dunk Mid Pro Black/Medium Mint-Sea Crystal sports one of SB’s most iconic looks, essentially donning a “Tiffany” mix of black leather inlays and teal suede overlays, sitting atop a white midsole and black outsole. Now hitting Nike SB retailers is one of the month’s phenomenal in-store exclusives, the ‘Woodgrain’ Nike SB Dunk Low Premium Pine Green/Black. Inset green panels sport a subtle woodgrain print, while the contrasting black overlays are constructed from a premium suede. While the January Nike SB footwear collection saw a dearth of Blazer releases, don’t take that as an indication that the shoe will make itself scarce in the coming months. Today we have a preview of two fantastic upcoming colorways of the model, the Nike SB Blazer Midnight Fog/Birch and the Nike SB Blazer Quasar Purple/Black-White-Gum Light Brown, each going for suede uppers with contrasting leather on the Swoosh and heel-tab and a white midsole. Nike SB is sending out another themed release in the coming months, but unlike what we usually see from those special editions this one keeps it pretty low-key. The Nike SB Dunk Shrimp, release date as yet unannounced (it’ll be a quickstrike), sports a black premium leather upper, contrasted by a red Swoosh, white midsole and grey outsole. However, the real distinguishing feature is the embroidered heel graphic of the titular shellfish, setting this colorway apart from the other black/red Dunks. Continuing our early previews of the February 2012 Nike SB footwear (check out that month’s Blazer Low, Eric Koston and Dunk Low), here’s a preliminary look Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid Dark Slate/Sandalwood, an absolute instant-classic. A remarkable look, and rather unique relative to just about every other Janoski, the shoe sports a spat-style canvas navy overlay, starkly contrasting the brown suede-based upper. Add in the white midsole and brown piping on the blue overlays, and this is simply can’t-miss. As hype builds and rumors circulate, will we see a Nike SB Air Jordan 1 release date sooner than later?

Well, yes, it looks like, at least according to Brooklyn Projects owner Dom DeLuca (he would know). On his Twitter account (@BrooklynDom), Dom indicated that the long-speculated-about Nike SB Air Jordan 1 release date will not only come in 2012, but likely quite soon. DeLuca goes on to say that the shoe is scheduled to drop in concert with the upcoming Bones Brigade documentary, a film which releases at the beginning of February.

SB will also drop vintage-style ads and pictures to subtly hype the release (such as the below Powell Peralta image, though I’m not 100% sure it is from the campaign), so stay tuned for more information and photos. We’ll of course update the second we get anything official on the books.

Brian Schroeder, better known as Pushead, is a revered artist, record label owner, songwriter and sometime Nike SB collaborator. Being that this is NikeBlog.com, you can probably guess which of these is the focus of this particular blog entry. Pushead is again teaming up with Nike SB on a Dunk Low, though a bit of a departure from the last one. The Pushead x Nike SB Dunk Low, release date set for the fall of 2012, sports a black suede on the toecap and lace placket, set against bleached canvas panels and laces, creating a perfect contrast. The Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 5 is one of the more technologically advanced skate shoes owing to a lot of things, but perhaps nothing more than the inclusion of lightweight-yet-cushioned Lunarlon foam through the midsole. To get an idea of what that means, check out the new ad starring Paul Rodriguez himself. Spoiler alert: it’s like being in space.

And one more look at a February 2012 Nike SB release, the Nike SB Dunk Low Black/Midnight Fog-Navy-White. A black suede upper is set off with a grey leather Swoosh and white midsole, while navy appears on the outsole and the stitched “NIKE” on the heel. Continuing the February Nike SB preview we’ve done the last couple weeks (Blazer Low Iron/Quasar Purple and Janoski ‘Deep Ocean’), here’s a good look at the Nike SB Eric Koston Vintage Green/Metallic Silver. A forest green suede upper is set against a silver Swoosh and white midsole (which of course houses a removable Lunarlon insole). We get a peak into the February Nike SB line today with these shots of the Nike SB Blazer Low Iron/Quasar Purple. A grey suede upper offers the perfect neutral tone for the winter months, while stark contrast comes by way of the purple textured leather Swoosh and heel-tab. Finally, a white midsole brings it all together and provides an easy match. Hit the jump for another couple shots and expect these in skate shops within a few weeks.

The Nike SB Dunk ‘Crown Royal’ release date is set for April 2012, the latest alcohol-resembling Dunk to come out of SB. And as usual with the booze-themed joints, it’s a good one, pairing purple suede on the upper with contrasting gold on the laces, tongue-tag and leather Swoosh.
