The legend of Bo Jackson has applied itself to another shoe, the “Bo Jackson” Nike Air Trainer SC 2010 team red/black-birch. The shoe features unique Bo-centric characteristics such as “Bo Knows” on the ankle and his famed two-sport picture on the insole, while the upper sports team red in the form of suede, leather and Flywire, a black leather Swoosh and a black midsole. The Jordan Rare Air “USA” edition is now available at House of Hoops nationwide. The shoe is an Air Jordan hybrid, combining the midsole of VI, outsole of the IV and the lacing and tongue (and elephant print, of course) of the III in a navy and red colorway, representing of course Team USA basketball, currently competing in the World Championships. Just received word from OSneaker today about the Air Jordan 11 Cool Grey, which means two things: First, we’ve got a great, detailed preview of the shoe that’s expected to hit right around Christmas. For a few months now there’s been word going around about a 2011 release of an Air Jordan VII “Bordeaux,” a shoe that has been mentioned and almost-released for the better part of a decade. The good news today is that not only will the shoe really hit stores in 2011, but we also have a good look at the production model. The shoe will feature and even mix of black and light graphite through the upper, bordeaux (maroon) under the laces and on the rear of the shoe, and more bordeaux along with yellow, olive and green on the tongue. Rumored to be hitting stores at some point before next season (emphasis on “rumored”), this is the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Russell Westbrook PE. The shoe features the colors of Russ’s Oklahoma City Thunder, with a vibrant blue Fuse upper—including white on the Swoosh and “RW 0″ logo—and orange on the inner-lining and outsole. With an idea as inspired and filled with potential as a Street Fighter 2 collection, why limit it to just one model of shoe? Thankfully Nike SB thought the same thing, and the SFII pack, already known to feature a Chun Li Dunk Low and a Ryu Dunk Mid, will also include a Nike SB P-Rod 4 Akuma edition, although the colors of the shoe seems to be inspired more by Akuma’s powered-up self, Shin Akuma. The shoe will feature a blue upper with black on the midsole, laces and Swoosh and, just like Akuma himself, a Kanji “ten” character on its back. All year Jordan Brand has been releasing “Silver Anniversary” colorways: special editions of some classic Air Jordans draped in silver to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Air Jordan. Set to release around the holiday season, the Air Jordan 2010 Silver Anniversary is the latest pair to pop up in the series and it will be well worth the wait. The shoe features a beautiful combination of perforated silver nubuck, reflective silver leather, a translucent blue outsole, and just enough white on the midsole and tongue to create a striking contrast. And the other High School PE set for release on September 11th: the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Lower Merion.” The shoe features a colorway designed for Lower Merion, Kobe Bryant’s alma mater, including a white upper, slight maroon accents and “Ace” across the back, the nickname of the school’s athletic teams. A couple of Nike High School PE’s will arrive at House of Hoops locations this weekend, releasing September 11th (ZKV “Lower Merion” being the other). First up, the Nike Zoom Soldier IV “Christ the King,” a colorway of LeBron’s secondary-sig designed for NYC-area hoops powerhouse Christ the King Regional High School. While obviously LBJ isn’t from New York and didn’t attend CTK, he’s supported this high school with special edition PE’s for a couple of years.

Quick release reminder, as the Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11 release date is set for tomorrow, September 4th at retailers nationwide. The shoe, hitting tomorrow in two colorways, white/varsity red and white/varsity blue, is a hybrid of the Air Jordan 11 and Air Max 1, taking from the former the mesh upper and leather mudguards, while incorporating the general silhouette and sole unit from the AM1.
