We debuted the Nike Dunk High All-Star 2012 pack yesterday, a very different, yet very cool, set of Dunk Premiums that will release as part of the NBA-in-Orlando All-Star Week theme. As such, these ones borrow inspiration from the nearby Kennedy Space Center, featuring canvas uppers inspired by astronauts’ flight suits, star-spangled inner-linings, and a reflective 3M lace placket. Even better, all three colorways — rogue green, blue grey and flight gold — feature removable, Velcro-attached Swooshes and NASA-inspired tongue tags. The strapless Dunk Mid Pro SB is on its way out, ushering back in an ankle-strapped Dunk Mid era this summer, and it looks like a classic colorway will help see off the incumbent fashion. The Nike SB Dunk Mid Pro Black/Medium Mint-Sea Crystal sports one of SB’s most iconic looks, essentially donning a “Tiffany” mix of black leather inlays and teal suede overlays, sitting atop a white midsole and black outsole. As we typically see each year, Nike is creating several shoes inspired by the upcoming NBA All-Star game. And with the 2012 game in Orlando, it seems only natural that some shoes would borrow inspiration from the nearby Kennedy Space Center. But while we’ve seen the All-Star Kobe VII and LeBron 9 go for a full-on “space” look, the Nike Dunk High All-Star 2012 pack keeps its inspiration on earth, featuring aesthetics inspired by NASA itself. All three colorways go for canvas uppers featuring graphics and type “borrowed” from NASA gear and facilities, going so far as to incorporate a removable, Velcro-adhered Swoosh and NASA-style logo tag. February 2012 is going to be a strong month for some spring releases, the Dunk High for example, which will hit retailers in six new colorways. Today we have a look at three of those: black/action red-black, black/varsity maize and black/safety orange-black. Each goes for a predominantly leather construction, contrasting bright, vibrant overlays with solid black inlays. Now hitting Nike SB retailers is one of the month’s phenomenal in-store exclusives, the ‘Woodgrain’ Nike SB Dunk Low Premium Pine Green/Black. Inset green panels sport a subtle woodgrain print, while the contrasting black overlays are constructed from a premium suede. Nike SB is sending out another themed release in the coming months, but unlike what we usually see from those special editions this one keeps it pretty low-key. The Nike SB Dunk Shrimp, release date as yet unannounced (it’ll be a quickstrike), sports a black premium leather upper, contrasted by a red Swoosh, white midsole and grey outsole. However, the real distinguishing feature is the embroidered heel graphic of the titular shellfish, setting this colorway apart from the other black/red Dunks. The classically styled, subtly colored hightop Dunks continue a big spring with the Nike Dunk High Varsity Maize/White, release date expected for the coming weeks. Brian Schroeder, better known as Pushead, is a revered artist, record label owner, songwriter and sometime Nike SB collaborator. Being that this is NikeBlog.com, you can probably guess which of these is the focus of this particular blog entry. Pushead is again teaming up with Nike SB on a Dunk Low, though a bit of a departure from the last one. The Pushead x Nike SB Dunk Low, release date set for the fall of 2012, sports a black suede on the toecap and lace placket, set against bleached canvas panels and laces, creating a perfect contrast. And one more look at a February 2012 Nike SB release, the Nike SB Dunk Low Black/Midnight Fog-Navy-White. A black suede upper is set off with a grey leather Swoosh and white midsole, while navy appears on the outsole and the stitched “NIKE” on the heel. The just-previewed Air Huarache Bball 2012 Stealth/Blue sports a bit of a funky, 90′s (albeit great) look. But for those times when one wants to just keep it simple, you’ve got this, the Nike Dunk High Black/University Blue. Opting for an understated palette on the iconic silhouette, black leather provides the base of the shoe while light blue leather overlays add some contrast. Those same colors appear on the mid- and outsole, respectively, with the shoe completely forgoing white. No release date yet, but it’s possible these could sneak into stores around the beginning of February; that’s when six other black-based Dunk Highs are scheduled to release. The Nike SB Dunk ‘Crown Royal’ release date is set for April 2012, the latest alcohol-resembling Dunk to come out of SB. And as usual with the booze-themed joints, it’s a good one, pairing purple suede on the upper with contrasting gold on the laces, tongue-tag and leather Swoosh. Nike SB Dunk 'Crown Royal'

More looks today of the Nike Dunk NG golf shoe, the initial colorways of which hit stores a couple weeks ago, with several more expected on March 1st. In addition to classic Dunk style, the shoe sports full-grain waterproof leather over the iconic upper, a full-length contoured sockliner, and rubber cupsole covered in Scorpion Stinger golf spikes. In men’s, the White/Black-Soar, White/Black-Granite and White/Cargo Khaki-Safety Orange colorways are available now, with Midnight Fog/Prism Blue-Black and White/Court Green-Black versions hitting stores March 1st. While the buzz is all about the new 2012 Oregon Rose Bowl uniforms today, there’s still plenty in the shoe world at which to take a look. The upcoming (and seriously nice-looking) Nike Dunk High Black/Varsity Maize, for example, which features an all-leather upper — yellow overlays against black inlays — and black-and-yellow sole, the latest Dunk to completely eschew white. Shaking up traditional golf fashion a bit, the Nike Dunk NG is now available, a golf spike-adorned version of the iconic Dunk basketball shoe. The shoe sports waterproof full-grain leather over the upper, a full-length contoured sock-liner that conforms to the wearer’s foot and a rubber cupsole, which of course sports golf spikes. Another camouflage-printed Dunk is on tap from SB next year, with the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Camo’ set to release as part of the Fall 2012 line. The shoe, which we shared a teaser of last week, sports black suede (nubuck?) inlaid against green-based-camo canvas overlays, creating a perfect complementary pairing over the upper with the white midsole adding some contrast.
