In the same vein as the successful and surprisingly neck-breaking “workboot” Air Force 1, the new Nike Air Force 1 “Hiking” pack features two AF1’s that incorporate metal laceholes, boot-style laces and monochromatic uppers with perforated Swooshes. Not scheduled to hit stores until September 11th, the Nike Air Force 1 Gorge Green is already turning up on shelves such as at extrabutterny. The shoe follows the design trend of several other similar AF1’s lately, combining patent leather on the Swoosh, toebox and toecap with perforated nubuck on the rest of the upper and a white midsole. The latest Air Jordan Fusion will meld together the Air Jordan 10 and Air Force 1, and we finally have some great shots of that AJF 10 “Steel Grey,” which features the most iconic colorway of that particular Air Jordan. In addition to the sole unit, the shoe also borrows its ankle strap from the AF1 but otherwise looks quite similar to the standard Air Jordan 10. Check out more looks under the cut. The AF1 Foamposite was a huge success, so while most of us were delighted, there was no reason to be surprised when a similar Air Jordan 1 Armor popped up, again featuring the foam upper on a classic basketball silhouette. And now that style will return to the AF1. The Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite black/black has just popped up online and while there’s no release information available yet, you can be sure that it will be relatively soon and it will sell out almost immediately.

If you’re the type who likes Air Force 1’s but hasn’t liked most of the hybrids to date, these just might be the ones that get you into the game. Primarily because the AJF 12—releasing tomorrow, August 14th in both obsidian/white-french blue-university blue and black/blue sapphire-cyber—looks almost identical to a standard Air Force 1 High. Which isn’t a bad thing really, since the obsidian pair is not bad, maintaining the spirit of the original AJ12 color-blocking, and the black/blue sapphire-cyber pair is really eye-catching, sporting just a beautiful contrast of vibrant blue stitching against the black nubuck and bright yellow stitching against the black leather. These will retail for $145 and ought to be fairly ubiquitous.

This is truly the best of both worlds, as Nike combines two of their most popular and iconic silhouettes to seamlessly create an entirely new look. The auction will last ten days and we could see some serious money change hands, as the current price for the USA pair is $2000. To represent the five countries present at the World Basketball Festival this week, Jay-Z collaborated with Nike to design five pairs of “All-Black Everything” Air Force 1’s. Jay-Z owns a pair of each, and the only other pairs will be put up for auction to benefit his scholarship fund, meaning you can be one of the only people in the world to own them.
