The Nike Air Max+ 2012 is now available, a rather impressive shoe technologically courtesy of its lightweight, breathable Hyperfuse upper, Cushlon midsole and 360 Max Air unit. In fact it’s so advanced, the shoe can actually run itself, at least according to this video. (Don’t hold me to that thing about being able to run without feet in it, they can do really remarkable things with special effects these days.) Hit the jump for a look at the full ad.

The #KobeSystem had a big weekend, with two new installments over the last couple of days: the Kanye West-starring, expletive-laden ‘Beastion’ episode, and this latest #KobeSystem Level 7, ‘Success at Success.’ Here, world famous billionaire Richard Branson wonders how to achieve success at success … at success. Thankfully, Kobe knows.

Catching up on the weekend’s #KobeSystem action, here’s #KobeSystem Level 6, ‘Beastion.’ In it, Kanye West tries to truly wrap his head around Kobe Bryant’s vision for personal growth. It can be pretty difficult for some to wrap their heads around, Mr. West included.

While Level 3 talked adaptation, and Level 4 covered explosion, #KobeSystem Level 5, arguably the most informative segment to date, educates us on domination, with Kobe giving an entire list of things you must dominate (that list includes waffles, the sun, ninjas and breakfast). While that gives Jerry Rice a tremendous amount of confusion, and puts Kanye West to sleep, hopefully you’ll handle it better. (Click here for the a look at all things #KobeSystem.)

Amar’e made the most of the NBA lockout days, getting a side job at Foot Locker to help pay the bills, but now the season is back on. So as you’d imagine, he had to have that awkward conversation with his boss where he told him that he had something better going on. Hit the jump for the full video.

We continue moving through the #KobeSystem today as we land on #KobeSystem Level 4, “Explosion.” In this video, while Kobe attempts to convey the concept of Explosion to the gathered crowd of superstars, motivational speaker Tony Robbins volunteers to help elaborate. Nice of him, but all it accomplishes is costing Kanye West $2 million. It’s enough to make you long for the days of Level 3 and Wang Leehom’s humbleness.

While shoes are their true specialty, Nike and Jordan Brand are also known (and revered) for their unique advertising and non-traditional campaigns. That’s a good thing for any company, as it ensures word-of-mouth and social sites will give their marketing efforts the kind of coverage and distribution that would otherwise cost a fortune. Case in point, the Air Jordan 2012 Passport, a very cool new advertising copy supporting the upcoming Air Jordan 2012 release. The passport features artwork of the shoe and some of the shoe’s inspirations, as well as various Jordan graphics, 3D images and the like. Unbeknownst to many, the Nike Air Tailwind introduced Nike Air to the world, with the shoe serving as the first model to feature the air unit developed by Frank Rudy.

Originally debuting in Hawaii for the Honolulu Marathon in 1978, the Air Tailwind was distributed to only a handful of area retailers, each selling out immediately, before seeing a wider release the next year.

And in 2012, the shoe will make a triumphant return, hitting select retailers worldwide beginning in January. Total allotments will be limited, so if you see a pair, it may behoove you to pounce on them.

The Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 5 is one of the more technologically advanced skate shoes owing to a lot of things, but perhaps nothing more than the inclusion of lightweight-yet-cushioned Lunarlon foam through the midsole. To get an idea of what that means, check out the new ad starring Paul Rodriguez himself. Spoiler alert: it’s like being in space.

Everyone seems quite taken with the Nike “RUN” park bench advertising shared earlier today, so here’s another guerrilla marketing-style campaign worth checking out. The Nike Women running lane takes the traditional running lane aesthetic and turns it on its head, swapping out the generic running man for a running woman, complete with a fully detailed pair of Air Max 2011 running shoes. Known for their creative and often quite innovative advertising, Nike is yet again doing things differently on the new Nike RUN park bench ads. Real benches are set up in parks with the Swoosh logo and “RUN” on the seatback, while the seating panel has been removed because … well, you can’t run if you’re sitting.
