In terms of both production quality and overall aesthetics, the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard was one of the most acclaimed new Air Jordan 1 colorways in years. So the fact that a sequel (of sorts) is on the way? Game-changer.
Dubbed the Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard, the new colorway boasts the same white-black-orange palette, but rearranges those colors a bit. (Admittedly, “Reverse” is a significant misnomer; an inverse of the original this shoe is not.) Orange is played up a bit more on the framing overlays, while black is dialed back a bit, appearing here on just the collar, laces and Swoosh. White balances on the toebox, side-panel and tongue, yielding a lighter, fresher look than its predecessor.
The Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard release date is slated for October 8 at retailers nationwide.
