With the Rio Olympics getting underway in August, the Olympic-inspired kicks simply will not stop this year. Well . . . until late-August, anyway.
Joining a list of coveted revived classics on shelves this summer is something a bit different. The Air Jordan 7 Tinker Alternate reimagines the classic Olympic VII — itself typically a quadrennial retail fixture — utilizing the same red, white, blue and gold palette, but reworking those colors into something different entirely: a darker upper, split between blue and white; more prominent use of gold; gradient red.
In terms of replacing the Olympic VII, the Air Jordan 7 Tinker Alternate certainly has its work cut out for it. Does it have a chance? Let us know on Twitter, and look for a launch August 16. Further details as they develop. . . .
