Earlier today, Nike Football unveiled a series of new innovations in a media event at the company’s world headquarters. While the announcements included the Vapor Untouchable II cleat and a new app that allows high school football players to earn recruiting ratings, the flashiest rollout is perhaps the new Vapor Untouchable uniform — and their (sort of) debut as the 2016 Pro Bowl uniforms.
The innovative new uniforms feature extensive reengineering that sees seams entirely removed from the front of the jersey, yielding impressive stretch, mobility, range of motion and durability. The result is an almost shrink-wrapped fit that offers the a streamlined, aerodynamic style and fewer grab points for the opposition.
Weighing in at 20.4 ounces, the 2016 Pro Bowl uniforms — well, all of the Vapor Untouchable uniforms — are four ounces lighter than current Nike Football uniforms and repel water, keeping the jersey lightweight even when rain is pouring down.
Below, check out the 2016 Pro Bowl uniforms in detail. That game, along with the the Oregon Ducks in the Alamo Bowl, will give the Vapor Untouchable uniforms their on-field debut.
