Last weekend, the Air Jordan 13 CP3 hit stores; the first of two, in fact. Could a Carmelo Anthony edition (or two) likewise be set to release?
At the moment, that’s a question that still needs answering, but rumors indicate that an Air Jordan 13 Melo could indeed be in the works. And today we have our first look at just such a shoe, though the authenticity of the pictured pair is far from confirmed.
Boasting a black tumbled leather toe, tonal textile overlay and gold suede around the heel and collar — with Carmelo’s logo on the tongue — the color-blocking and execution are nearly identical to the CP3 XIII. So in terms of a themed collection, it makes sense. (Remember when the Air Jordan 1 consecutively yielded Melo, CP3, Russell Westbrook and Blake Griffin editions?)
