The Air Jordan 14 Sport Blue is about 5 percent blue, a dark shade appearing on the heel, branding and tongue-insert.
Conversely, grey leather dominates, comprising about 85 percent of the shoe, a light hue appearing throughout the XIV’s signature paneling, a darker shade on the quarter-panel, and still even darker tone on the tongue.
White then rounds out the last 10 percent or so of the palette, coloring the outsole.
So, those ratios being what they are, why is it called the “Sport Blue” XIV? Dude . . . I don’t know. I just blindly promulgate the predominant nicknames, I don’t coin ’em.
The Air Jordan 14 Sport Blue releases Saturday, August 2, at US retailers.
