Yesterday we debuted the new US Soccer kit, a unique tri-color style directly inspired by the American flag. And while the clean, patriotic good looks are a perfect fit on the pitch, the shirt’s striking sartorial sense is equally stylish off of it.
To illustrate that idea, while also demonstrating that fans both internationally-famous and otherwise support the Yanks as they prepare for the World Cup, Nike enlisted the help of a number of Swoosh-affiliated sports stars, as well as a few folks from the entertainment world, and one former US star-turned-TV analyst. Each dons the new American shirt with their everyday gear, allowing their own personality to infuse the photo with a unique style.
Participants in the special portrait series include the NFL’s Ndamukong Suh and Andrew Luck; track & field star Allyson Felix; pro skaters Eric Koston and Sean Malto; former USMNT member Alexi Lalas; legendary filmmaker Spike Lee; singers HAIM; and music producer Diplo.
