A couple weeks ago we brought you an exclusive first-look at the Air Max 90 JCRD, a new take on the classic runner that swaps out the typically-leather construction for a more fashion-oriented jacquard weaving. And it won’t be the only model seeing such an update, as today we bring you the first glimpse of the Nike Air Max 95 JCRD.
The jacquard weaving process is a mainstay in the fashion industry, wherein each warp thread is raised independently of one another, offering a textured, almost static look. On the Air Max 95 JCRD, that weave builds out the model’s iconic upper in lieu of the usual leather, even including its signature paneling despite going predominantly one-piece and not actually having panels.
No word yet on an exact release date, but I’m given to understand these are early-2014.
