Yet another remix of the iconic Air Max 90 is on tap in the form of the Nike Air Max 90 JCRD, release date set for 2014.
JCRD is Swoosh shorthand for “Jacquard,” a style of weaving that allows for each warp thread to be raised independently of every other, enabling a masterful control over the process and the possibility for virtually any design. Think of it as Flyknit’s less performance-driven, more fashion-forward cousin.
The result is the usual AM 90 aesthetic, but closer examination reveals a one-piece woven build, with “panels” delineated by different weave patterns and colors, as well as the occasional Hyperfuse overlay.
Details are still developing, so stay tuned with NB for updates. In the meantime, check out plenty of shots below.
