When the first glimpse of the Air Jordan XX8 emerged, a couple of things became immediately clear. First, the shrouded look was a great addition to the flagship Jordan line. Second, an unshrouded edition would certainly release eventually, a slimmed down version a la the Air Jordan 2012 Lite. Here’s that version, the Air Jordan XX8 SE.
Much of the impressive on-court model remains, including the mid- and outsole combination and innovative Jordan Flight Plate, but the upper’s shroud is simply removed. That gives us a glimpse at a pretty attractive upper, including a reworked tongue and lacing system, as well as a nearly seamless construction. Dig it?
