If you were compiling a footwear industry resume, you’d be hard-pressed to come up with a better one than that of Mike Friton. In over 30 years in the shoe biz, most spent as a “Senior Innovator” with Nike, Mike counts among his accomplishments helping to create both the Nike Free concept and the Innovation Kitchen itself. He even ran track at the University of Oregon, the ideological birthplace of Blue Ribbon Sports and its successor, Nike.
