New Army Football Helmet | Detailed Look

We’re less than an hour from the 2012 Army-Navy Game, the deciding factor in this year’s Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy. And in addition to new uniforms for the Black Knights, we’ll also see a brand new Army football helmet. The dark gold coloring is set off by a black stripe which features a map of the Ardennes region of Europe, the location of the Battle of the Bulge, while a black spade on the back pays tribute to the legendary 101st Airborne who played a key role in that counteroffensive. Click here to read about the uniform’s military inspiration and story, and hit the jump for more looks at the lid.
