Plenty more official photos and info are on the way, but in the meantime here’s your first look at 2013’s flagship Jordan model, the Air Jordan XX8.
(Update: The Air Jordan XX8 has been official unveiled. Lots of photos and info there.)
The lightest, most responsive Air Jordan to date, the shoe sports a zip-up lace shroud that offers ample versatility, with the zipped-up fit climbing over the ankle and enhancing stability, while unzipping completely alters the fit and look of the shoe.
Beneath that shrouded upper is the performance-driven “Jordan Flight Plate” under the footbed, which, as Jordan Brand puts it, is engineered for “unlocking the power of Nike Zoom units.”
Designed by Tinker Hatfield and Josh Heard, the shoe will debut on the feet of Russell Westbrook tomorrow against the Brooklyn Nets. Stay tuned for a litany of info and photos. Retail is set for $250 and yes, the shoe is called the Air Jordan XX8; NOT the Air Jordan 2013.
