Tomorrow’s the day for The Game, with the new Ohio State football uniforms finally being debuted by the Buckeyes in their rivalry tilt with Michigan. Taking inspiration from tOSU’s rich football heritage, hearkening all the way back to the 1967 uniform redesign under then-coach Woody Hayes, the new kit subtly reworks details — such as new striping and number outlines — while incorporating innovative technology that’s as futuristic as Hayes and his teams were legendary.

From head to toe, this new uniform is designed for speed with the inclusion of Nike Chain Maille Mesh into the jersey — a lightweight, ultra-breathable material that emphasizes improved thermoregulation. This new fabrication is incorporated into the back and under the arms of the jersey for exceptional ventilation without sacrificing durability.
The Nike Pro Combat Hyperwarm baselayer also keeps the body regulated for cold weather with breathability, water resistance and a streamlined fit. The Hyperwarm baselayer top features a new speed-focused design to coordinate with the uniform.
The full, integrated uniform system also features:
* Strategically placed seams, pads and cooling zones that help minimize distraction and optimize protective coverage. Padding without the bulk, offers optimal low-profile impact protection, specifically throughout the crucial “hit zone” between the knees and shoulders.
* Lightweight Nike Pro Combat Deflex padding integrated in the hip area of the pant for crucial impact protection that stays in place.
* A Flywire collar in the jersey, eliminating two layers of fabric for improved breathability and providing a more stable anchor to keep the jersey in place for enhanced lockdown functionality.
