As we’ve occasionally seen from Navy before a big game, the Midshipmen are turning to Nike for a new look come December 8th when the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy will be on the line. Somewhat similar to their Pro Combat uniforms from a year ago, albeit an away set and a little less simple, the new Navy football uniforms for the Army-Navy Game sport navy blue on the team-name and numbers (on the front and back) and on the collar and sleeves, while gold accenting provides a little flair and beautifully contrasts.
Meanwhile the helmet gets a little retooling as well, with the predominantly white lid sporting the anchor logo at each side and a navy blue section along the back, bordered by a metallic gold stripe. (The “Don’t Tread on Me” base layer is also quite cool.) Stay tuned for plenty more updates and photos — including, perhaps, a new Army football uniform — and in the meantime, check out a few more looks below. (Via @NavyAthletics)
