A Brigham Young blackout is scheduled for October 13th against Oregon State. Today, take a look at the black BYU football uniform you can expect to see.
This will mark the first time in the modern era that the Cougars don a black uniform, which sports Nike Pro Combat technology including improved materials for reduced weight and thermoregulation, a more streamlined cut, and Flywire-anchored collar, just to name a few.
Aesthetically, the black BYU uniform was designed to feature the same color-blocking and look of their standard kit — an idea intended to tie the new style back to BYU tradition — just colored in black.
The Athletic Department will first sell replica jerseys to the Cougar Club, with remaining jerseys then offered to the general public. Additionally, the BYU bookstore will sell a special blackout shirt and other merchandise going forward. (Fans are encouraged to wear black to the game.) H/T Phil Quintana.
