Penny Hardaway is a favorite of sneakerheads and hoops fans alike, and apparently of the folks at Nike, too. Much like Ken Griffey, Jr, Penny seems to have gained new life in the sneaker game since his retirement, with new colorways of the 1/2 Cent still hitting stores, a Penny-inspired Air Force 1 scheduled for the coming months, and now another new silhouette entirely. The Nike Zoom Rookie was designed to pay tribute to Penny, incorporating elements from all the shoes Mr. Hardaway wore his rookie year, most notably including Air Flight One. No official word yet on a release date, but stick with NB for details as they become available.
