Nike Bowl Uniforms: Oregon, Florida, TCU, Boise St
Nike and the University of Oregon love making a big splash uniform-wise, so you could bet that when the Ducks accepted an invitation to the BCS National Championship, both organizations were planning something big. Not only would you be correct, but they’re bringing Florida (Outback Bowl), TCU (Rose Bowl) and Boise State (Las Vegas Bowl) along for the ride. All four will sport brand new Nike Pro Combat bowl uniforms, and they’re being unveiled today at a special media event at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas. This article will update constantly as new pictures become available, so make sure to check back regularly. The Oregon uniforms don’t stray that far from some of their usual stuff, but they’re still pretty cool. Finally, if you’re looking to compare these to this year’s Pro Combat uniforms, this is the page for you. Or this page, if you’d like a look at the standard Oregon Ducks gear.
Update: The Oregon Ducks jersey (and a black alternate) is now available on shopgoducks.com.

So what’s new about the top? Maybe the color around the number?
Wow.. not crazy about the socks.
TCU fans take a great deal of pride in wearing purple. These uniforms are terrible.
@Frog: Yeah, I could see that. I dig the pants here a lot, as well as the helmet, but I get the logic of wanting to go with your signature colors.
So are they only going to release an Oregon jersey or does Florida, TCU actually get something different???
Well, those look dumb.
Ok…SERIOUSLY??? Did you idiots realize that TCU’s colors are PURPLE and WHITE and sometimes Black? Some ridiculous designer just had to top the last one and left out purple altogether? That’s the MAIN color for the school and always has been! These look stupid and I know Frog fans are proud of their purple. Why not try to NOT out think yourselves next time and, at the very least stick to the schools primary colors? Maybe get a designer that knows something about football and traditional colors for a college if you’re gonna work with that school. p.s. the red sweatbands are dumb too.
When will these be available?
they look great! as usual, Nike, good job!
honestly, I was expecting NIKE to out do themselves and go some crazy over the top designs or re work some throwbacks or something…. but these are just terrible.
Oregon- all they did was add the electric yellow/green.
Boise- didnt really change much even. the pro combat helmet and solid uniforms? c’mon now.
Florida- looks like absolutely no change at all.
TCU- their pro combat pants and helmet and a solid black middle school-esque jersey. no purple at all?
Im very very disappointed.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL – How in the world can you bozos design a brand new uniform for TCU and not even use their PRIMARY SCHOOL COLOR???????????? Purple. The school colors are Purple and White with black sometimes used as an accent color. Morons….
I’m with Bronco, when do the jerseys go on sale? And perhaps some Huarache TRs, Tees and more Gloves on sale like the other Combat Packs?
@TCU Mom. It’s not exactly a new design, rather an updated version of the Pro Combat unis they wore earlier. Isn’t their standard home uniform black though? With their alternates being purple?
Why is everyone being such haters? The new frogs uniform could use some purple I agree but its a good looking uni regardless The frog skin design still looks amazing. While the school’s main color is purple I do not not find it overly offensive or morally reprehensible to exclude to the color on the bowl uniform. Who cares if the uniform has purple in it the only thing that matters is getting the W in The Rose Bowl
Well, except for the socks, I like the new Ducks uniforms.
What would Dutch Meyer say? Well, it would be a lot more colorful than those black TCU uniforms that have more red than purple on them. Say, isn’t red Wisconson’s color? Maybe the Badgers will want them.
I was at the unveiling today. The uniforms look much better in person. You can’t see it from the pic, but the socks and shoes on the TCU uniform are purple. I dont’ know about the pants though. The scales were a bit over the top. Over all the even was just OK. Nothing great about it.
[...] Ducks National Championship “Home” jersey, as evidenced by the similar styling to the white “away” Oregon uniforms they’ll actually wind up wearing on January 10th. You can grab one of these now (or the white [...]
Seriously? This is an EPIC FAIL. Nike, god help me I love you to death, but you completely missed the boat on this one.
THIS IS WRONG ON EVERY LEVEL. Everyone hates these uniforms. Please change them immediately. This is so gross.
Of course, GO DUCKS (whatever they wear)!
@SIRLUCASLEFTFOOT, TCU’s home jerseys are purple. Until this year, that is when they used the black and purple sometimes. For the BYU and BOISE games in 08 they wore black tops with purple bottoms. In years past it has been purple tops with white then black pants. Before that it was purple and grey. They will look cool on the field, but I really think TCU fans (the long time ones, not necessarily the new ones) have a lot of pride in their purple, it would have been nice to see it in the Rose Bowl.
All these look good you have to be professional to see the best in them

man oh man, i am loving those socks
I like these but where’s the green unis and yellow? Or is it just the black and white? And what colors of pants do we have
I would be nice if we could have our school colors involved when we play on nation wide TV in the BCS. At least the trim could be green and yellow instead of all of this silver crap.
TCU fans, rest (a little) easier…the socks and cleats are purple, as well as the belt, pant-stripe, and outline around the numbers on the jerseys. I think they look cool personally, and I’m sure you will all come around too. Full disclosure: I’m an Oregon fan though, so I’m clearly not averse to unconventional uniforms.
someone needs too educate nike.
like what a horned frog is . like last year with the red on the helments/ someone opened a dictionary and read out loud and bam we had red stripes on our helments. some yankee i guess. we should also let them know what TCU’s colors are. the only exception to that rule was in the 80′s when we had silver pants/ they looked good. new uniforms or not i feal real good about our Frogs. go get em boys !
A lot of you art stating that there aren’t much changes. Well, from an esthetics standpoint there are just minor changes, such as for Oregon’s Volt Yellow accent and player number on the sleeve of the base layer. And of course the new cleats. What this article does not mention the technological changes to the 2011 Nike Pro Combat. Things like Nike Pro Deflex padding, Flywire, and carbon fiber. USA Today has a detail piece about it. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/campusrivalry/post/2010/12/oregon-ducks-nike-uniforms-bcs-championship-auburn/1

The socks are the best part!
Note to Nike and TCU: That is the dumbest uniform ever! Worse than the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates or the White Sox when they wore shorts.
Every TCU fan should contact the Horned Frog Athletics department and complain loudly! I would be ashamed to be a TCU fan if they are apparently ashamed to wear their historic school colors.
As a lifelong Oregon fan and former student, I am hugely disappointed in the school and Nike for going with gray instead of the school’s actual colors. This is an outrage! It’s the most important game in school history, and there’s almost NOTHING identifiably “University of Oregon” about it.
What the hell is the point of bleeding green and gold all these years if the team isn’t even going to be wearing those colors on their biggest night ever? Screw you, Phil Knight.

I’ve got to agree with Sean. I’m a Duck. Always was, always will be. Even though I live in the desert now. The silver/gray crap just doesn’t cut it. Why can’t you just come up with something at least in our real colors instead of trying to make a fashion statement? I’ll be proud of our Ducks no matter what they wear, but even more proud if they can wear the green & yellow as the kick the crap out of Auburn. C’mon Phil, you’re a Duck too!!!
