Check out the brand new print (and e-) ad from Nike Women, embracing the different shapes of women’s bodies, including those who happen to be draggin’ a little more wagon. Very cool concept and execution. This is actually a recreation of an ad from a few years ago, I’ll post that one beneath the cut.
UPDATE: Check out four other ads from the same series as the below, 2005 version, celebrating thighs, legs, shoulders and knees.
UPDATE x2: Wow, massive faux pas. So the above ad was forwarded to me by a colleague and I didn’t do my due dilligence, but apparently it’s a Photoshop someone put together using existing copy from the original version (below) and some picture. That is to say, the above ad was not created by Nike or their ad agency, Wieden+Kennedy; the below ad is legit, however. As are the five or so mentioned above. And this new one, which takes a different approach, is also real.

Hotness!!!
I really think they are talking to me!
She looks like a real woman to me…
I think this Ad is Great for Nike.
Nice ad, but it’s time to fire the ad agency and the clueless executives who can’t proofread. It’s spelled “ambassador.”
FINALLY a realistic, positive ad representing a multitude of gorgeous women around the world! Please air on tv, run in magazines & post on billboards across the land! Show the world what we’ve known for ages: Our shapely curves are a beautiful blessing baby, look and admire!!!
@Brian–I can’t imagine anyone has ever fired that particular ad agency. And while you’re correct on the spelling, so are they.
How do I get a copy for my studio wall?
@Shirley: I’m not sure, maybe email the customer service link on Nike.com, they’re always good at replying quickly. Or you could try calling Wieden+Kennedy, Nike’s ad agency, to see if they have some extra copies laying around.

ok woman , I’m already.. I’ll Do it.
I love big butts, so nice. I hate skinny women models. they so ugly and un sexy. they look like aliens. how can they promote such un healty looking body shapes???
umm Brian if you read the article, the ad that spells it wrong is actually a recreation. The bottom (pink) ad is the actual Nike one and they spell it right.
I don’t understand what Nike has to do with women’s ‘Thunder thighs’ and ‘big buts’? if the ad had the picture of a curvy woman on it minus the text, and it focused more on the actual shoe itself then fair play, but Emphasizing the fact that some woman are curvy and have ‘big butts’ just broadens the gap between fat and skinny, I appreciate the positive message I just don’t fully comprehend the actual correlation between the two.
Hey a model guys will ACTUALLY like.

They spelled it correctly for the “know-it-all’s”. Lmao, ambassador and embassador are both correct. BOTH are in the dictionary! Smh
