Nike Zoom Kobe V “Dark Knight” Release Date

Nike Zoom Kobe V "Dark Knight"

I used to be on the fence about the Kobe V’s, but Nike is just continuing to unleash heat. The Nike Zoom Kobe V “Dark Knight—release date set for January 22nd at the Harlem House of Hoops—is yet another shoe inspired by the 2008 film “The Dark Knight,” joining the Joker-inspired Kobe V “Chaos.” And while the shoe may not be as good as the movie, the “Dark Knight” may be the best colorway of Kobe’s fifth Nike signature to date, and I’m not just saying that because I think Bob Kane belongs on Mt. Rushmore. The shoe sports a primarily black upper with some dark grey on the laces and heel. The amazing contrast though, and the thing that sets this apart from Kobe’s other shoes, is the electric blue that runs along the lace holes and frames the toebox making a very non-Lakers look. The best part? Kobe Bryant himself will make an appearance at the Harlem House of Hoops after his game against the Knicks on January 22nd, to help celebrate the Zoom Kobe V Dark Knight release. He should be there around 11:30. The shoe will then release at other House of Hoops in subsequent weeks.
