Friday’s Rose Bowl may be the biggest game in Oregon Ducks’ history, so it’s fitting that they’ll do something crazy with their uniforms. Unfortunately, despite my campaigning here on NikeBlog, it doesn’t look like the Ducks will be wearing invisible uniforms. No spinning O’s on the helmet either. I’m just as disappointed as you. Anyway, it’s looking like white helmets, green jerseys and white pants. This should be labeled as rumor per the usual, and I will say that the pants may still be up in the air, but I’m relatively sure about the first two. Obviously we still haven’t worn the chrome lids, but with Ohio State wearing silver helmets of their own this just isn’t the day to break them out. Next year at Tennessee, perhaps. I’m working on a Photoshop of the jersey combo, less the RB patch, so that ought to be up soon. I’ll include a couple of links to the Arizona prediction and the UW game. See, I’m not just making this stuff up. And create your own Ducks uniform combos here. Also, check out the history of the Oregon Ducks’ uniforms in the Rose Bowl here, going all the way back to 1917.
UPDATE x2: Jeff Maehl basically confirmed the uniforms I have posted here in a media day today. This is a bit strange since the Ducks never really publicly announce what they’ll wear in advance. Could this be a smokescreen to hide something ridiculous we might pull out Friday?
UPDATE: The Photoshops are done, including Masoli in a Rose Bowl-patched jersey.
