If you’re a regular reader of this site, or you’re a fan of the Nike Pro Combat gear, you’ve probably read my last few entries about Nike Pro Combat gear, the special uniforms Nike created for ten specific programs (and Clemson, who for some reason isn’t being included in most of the promotional stuff and is actually the eleventh program, regardless of CJ Spiller’s Wally West-like speed) designed with an eye toward traditional colors, slogans and ideas but with an emphasis on innovative technology. (Pictures, slogans and background here, here and here. The third link is the best, although the first includes the slogans. Not really sure why I even included the second). The school’s are wearing the special uniforms in one game only, typically one of their big rivalry games, starting this month and moving forward for the next couple of weeks. And now to further emphasize the specialness of this situation, Nike has created these amazing Nike Pro Combat Football Packs, which include various apparel, accessories and Nike Trainer 1’s all created specifically for the team in question and using its colors and slogans. Only nine packs exist for each school and they release Friday, November 27th exclusively at 21 Mercer in NYC. This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen, and if they made one for Oregon they could name their price and I’d still buy it. Entire contents and pictures after the jump.
