Fresh off a 2nd-round KO of Ricky Hatton, and two months before his much anticipated showdown with Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao is getting his second Nike Trainer 1 of the year. This time, rather than his previous red and gold colorway, Pacquiao’s Trainer 1 will take its inspiration from his drubbing of Hitman and get a “lights out” look. The shoe sports an all-black upper with an eagle logo across the back as well as white and grey accents, outlines and speckles throughout. In pretty nice design concept, all the white and grey glows in the dark, as do the green laces and outsole. In a final homage to Pacman’s victory over Hatton, the outsole reads “5:2:9″ and “2:59,” the date of the match and time in the 2nd round of the KO, respectively.
The Nike Trainer 1 “Lights Out” releases exclusively at Nike Park in Fort Bonifacio, Philippines next Friday, July 25th at 9:25pm. They’re quite limited, so folks will only be allowed one pair each, although they’re also pushing the “Pacman Knows” shirt of which people will be allowed three. Manny is back in the ring November 14th against Miguel Cotto. Check out the dope Manny Pacquiao fight song here. Via KingCrux31.com.
