The Nike Dunk is getting a little remix in September, although rather than an “update” so to speak, it’s getting throwback flair fused into the already classic design. The Nike Dunk Hi AC TZ sports a premium canvas upper—in either grey or black—with a leather same-color Swoosh, but rather than the standard Dunk midsole, the shoe incorporates Blazer-like vulcanized rubber, slightly dimpled toward the front. While the Nike Dunk Hi AC TZ may seem like just a subtle departure from the norm, it will be a limited release at select Nike Sportswear retailers, rather than a wide release. That “TZ” would seem to indicate that, by “limited,” I mean stores like ALIFE, Bodega, Concepts, Darkside, Daves Quality Meat, the Nike Sportswear stores in NYC and LA, Huf, Goods, Shoe Gallery, UBIQ and UNDFTD. While I can’t guarantee this at the moment, I’d virtually guarantee you that most-and-probably-all of these will get the shoe. The Nike Dunk Hi AC TZ release date is September 4th.
UPDATE: Nike revealed the release outlets and made me look like a genius. 12 for 12. Also, AC apparently stands for “Autoclave.”
