College football season is fast approaching. To gear up for the 2009-2010 season I’ll try to post as many teams with new uniforms for the upcoming season. First off is the Connecticut Huskies. They unveiled they’re fresh new home and away uni’s last week.

Four of the team captains were on hand at Rentschler Field to model the new “national flag” blue and white uniforms. The school decided to do away with the traditional silver and just stick to the school’s primary colors – blue and white. Another noticeable change is a small “C” in the middle of the neckline, that replaces the word “Connecticut” on previous uniforms. The tops and bottom both feature solid color piping, this is also staying in line with that of the men’s basketball uniforms. The Huskies and Nike have been working on these since last year, and are made of “cordura stretch fabric”. The new material is supposed to be lighter and be more form-fitting than previous UConn uni’s.

WRONG RON! they are based on the football programs history and tradition. haven’t you been listening to what the coach was saying?
besides all that i think they look extravagant; possibly the best uniform transition of this upcoming season.
