In collaboration with Nike, the Boise State football team unveiled their new uniforms for the ‘09-’10 season a couple weeks ago. And if anything, they’re definitely vivid. The blue home version is as blue as their field. Talk about home field advantage. Since they will completely blend in with the field, there should be no excuses for home losses. Maybe BSU will allow visiting teams to mark Bronco players with beacons. None the less, I like how Nike and BSU kept the design pretty simple. Less, is most of the time better.

Seen in the pictures, senior Kyle Wilson, showing off the new Nike jerseys for the upcoming season. Like most big time football programs(Oregon, Miami, Oklahoma, USC), BSU’s new uniforms consist of newer light weight “cordura” material. The material is similar to Nike’s Dri-Fit performance fabric. The new uniforms feature smaller accented piping on both pants and jerseys. Boise State also designed their own number font specifically for the new jerseys. The “Broncos” number font features a gray number with an orange outline on the home jersey. The away white unis have a blue number with an orange outline.

Absent from the new home jersey is “Boise State”. Instead, there is a small Bronco’s head at the collar. “Boise State” does however appear on the front of the road uniforms. Both home and away jerseys have the word “Broncos” on the back. Just below the number where there is a horizontal stripe. “Boise State” also makes it onto the pants. Although unable to see from the pics, “Boise State” is printed on the left side stripe in gray.
