Man, Nike ACG has really been doing it right the last few months, I guess they want to make sure they do themselves proud during the year-long anniversary celebration of the label. Lately ACG has been doing this sort of athletic/trail hybrid thing that’s really been working, rather than the old, brown hiking boots of yesteryear.
Well next up is more of the new school, as the latest issue of Sneaker Freaker introduces us to the Nike Zoom Morizaba and the Nike Air Salbis. The Zoom Morizaba incorporates flywire in the upper, waterproof mesh in the toebox and side panel as well as that lovely 3M material on the toes. On top of that, the shoes uses a bright variety of turquoise and volt (or is that highlighter?) to set off the black and silver mesh.
The Nike Air Salbis sports a bit higher of a cut, falling closer to a mid, and also utilizes a variety of materials including, most notably, Gore-Tex.
Both the Air Salbis and the Zoom Morizaba look trail-ready and easy to spot. Dope. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait until Fall 2009 to get your hands on them. Pictures via HighSnobiety.com.
